The Thing Panel Days of the Dead Atlanta Edition
John Carpenter’s The Thing cast reunites at Days of the Dead Atlanta! Keith David, Richard Masur, Joel Polis, Peter Maloney, and Thomas Waites share untold stories from the 1982 horror classic — legendary secrets never revealed in Indy.
Filmed at Days of the Dead Atlanta (February 2014, Sheraton Atlanta Hotel), this The Thing reunion panel brings together five cast members from John Carpenter’s 1982 masterpiece: Keith David (Childs), Richard Masur (Clark), Joel Polis (Fuchs), Peter Maloney (Bennings), and Thomas Waites (Windows). The panel promises stories that were not revealed at the earlier Indianapolis edition — behind-the-scenes tales from the frozen Antarctic set, working with Carpenter, and the practical effects that made The Thing one of horror’s greatest achievements. Kurt Russell-free but packed with the film’s beloved supporting cast, this Q&A is essential viewing for fans of the sci-fi horror classic and horror convention reunions.
